About Opal Archangel

Opal Archangel, Enchantment, designed by Jeff Miracola first released in Oct, 1998 in the set Urza's Saga. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 1.07.

Opal Archangel would be a valuable addition to a White-based control deck that focuses on enchantments and disrupting the opponent's creature-based strategies. However, for a more competitive edge, cards like Sigarda, Host of Herons or Avacyn, Angel of Hope may offer stronger defensive capabilities and board presence. While Opal Archangel has potential in specific strategies, its effectiveness in a broader metagame may be limited, making it a situational card that could see play in certain niche decks.

Rules

08/01/08

A noncreature permanent that turns into a creature can attack, and its abilities can be activated, only if its controller has continuously controlled that permanent since the beginning of their most recent turn. It doesn’t matter how long the permanent has been a creature.

10/04/04

It triggers when the spell is cast, which means it becomes a creature before that spell resolves.

10/04/04

When it turns into a creature, it is no longer an enchantment.
