A deck that focuses on controlling the board and disrupting the opponent's creatures would benefit from using Plague Fiend, as it can efficiently remove threats by forcing the opponent to pay additional mana or lose their creatures. However, there are better options like cards with similar effects that provide additional value or have more impact on the game, such as Skinrender or Shriekmaw. While Plague Fiend may have situational uses, it may not be the most optimal choice for competitive play.
