About Planar Overlay
Planar Overlay, Sorcery, designed by Ron Walotsky first released in Feb, 2001 in the set Planeshift. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.70.
A control deck that aims to disrupt the opponent's mana base would benefit from using Planar Overlay, as it can set back their land development and potentially disrupt their game plan. However, there are better options available such as Armageddon or Cataclysm, which offer more impactful land destruction effects. Planar Overlay could see situational play in specific metagames or sideboard options, but it may not be a staple card in most competitive decks due to its limitations compared to other land destruction options.
Rules
10/04/04
If you have a land which counts as multiple land types, you can choose that land as each of those types. For example, a dual land could be chosen as two of your land types.
