Polterheist, Creature — spirit, designed by Josu Hernaiz first released in Oct, 2024 in the set Alchemy: Duskmourn.
Polterheist would fit well in a black-red (Rakdos) aggro or midrange deck that focuses on aggressive strategies and resource denial, as its ability to heist an opponent's library can disrupt their game plan while applying pressure. However, there are arguably stronger options for similar effects, such as Thoughtseize for hand disruption or Tasha's Hideous Laughter for milling, depending on the deck's strategy. While Polterheist has a unique flavor and can be fun in casual play, its effectiveness in competitive formats may be limited, making it less likely to see widespread play compared to more efficient disruption or aggressive creatures.
