About Proft, Sinister Mastermind
Proft, Sinister Mastermind, Legendary creature — human rogue, designed by Lindsey Look first released in September 2026 in the set Reality Fracture. It see play in 1 format: Standard. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.45.
Proft, Sinister Mastermind would fit best in a black self-mill, delirium/threshold, reanimator, or Madness-style deck that can fill its graveyard quickly and can profit from having a repeatable discard outlet; however, Threshold makes it a poor early-game cast, and its discard ability is useful mainly when pitching cards is an upside. As creature removal, it is generally outclassed by efficient spells such as Fatal Push, Cut Down, Go for the Throat, or Dismember, while dedicated discard-outlet decks often prefer cheaper options like Putrid Imp or Noose Constrictor. Unless Proft has exceptionally strong stats for three mana—which are not provided—it probably should not see broad competitive play, but could be a reasonable synergy card in a casual self-mill/Madness deck where enabling the graveyard and discarding reanimation targets matters more than raw efficiency.
