About Purphoros's Emissary

Purphoros's Emissary, Enchantment creature — ox, designed by Sam Burley first released in May, 2020 in the set Theros and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.49.

Purphoros's Emissary would be a strong addition to an aggressive red deck looking to apply pressure early on. Its Bestow ability allows for flexibility in casting it as either a creature or an enchantment, providing versatility in combat situations. While there may be more efficient options for similar effects, Purphoros's Emissary's combination of Menace and a significant power boost makes it a solid choice for decks aiming to quickly overwhelm opponents with evasive threats, making it worth considering for inclusion in certain red aggressive strategies.

Rules

09/15/13

Auras attached to a creature don’t become tapped when the creature becomes tapped. Except in some rare cases, an Aura with bestow remains untapped when it becomes unattached and becomes a creature.

09/15/13

On the stack, a spell with bestow is either a creature spell or an Aura spell. It’s never both, although it’s an enchantment spell in either case.

09/15/13

Unlike other Auras, an Aura with bestow isn’t put into its owner’s graveyard if it becomes unattached. Rather, the effect making it an Aura ends, it loses enchant creature, and it remains on the battlefield as an enchantment creature. It can attack (and its abilities can be activated, if it has any) on the turn it becomes unattached if it’s been under your control continuously, even as an Aura, since your most recent turn began.
