About Putrid Pals
Putrid Pals, Creature — human ooze mutant, designed by Kevin Sidharta first released in Feb, 2026 in the set Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.01.
Putrid Pals would fit best in a Golgari (black‑green) sacrifice/aristocrats or graveyard‑value deck that can reliably have permanents leave the battlefield on its own turn—think decks using sacrifice outlets (Viscera Seer, Woe Strider), disposable creatures or tokens, and recursive threats (Bloodghast, Gravecrawler) to consistently turn on Disappear so it enters as an above‑rate deathtouch threat; it also plays reasonably in midrange shells that trade resources and want efficient, sticky creatures. That said, there are generally stronger options depending on the format: Glissa Sunslayer or Glissa, the Traitor provide far more value at three mana, Tenacious Underdog offers card advantage and recursion, Scavenging Ooze gives graveyard hate plus scaling, and even Gifted Aetherborn (in formats where legal) is a more efficient standalone deathtouch body. Because Putrid Pals requires setup to be above rate and offers no inherent card advantage or resilience beyond stats, it’s likely playable
