About Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant // Sasaya's Essence

Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant // Sasaya's Essence, Legendary creature — snake monk , designed by Christopher Moeller & Christopher Moeller first released in Jun, 2005 in the set Saviors of Kamigawa. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 3.95. It's a key card in 2 combos.

This card would benefit a mono-green ramp deck that focuses on quickly accumulating a high number of land cards in hand. While Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant can be powerful in the right deck, there are other cards like Azusa, Lost but Seeking or Oracle of Mul Daya that may be more consistent and impactful in ramp strategies. However, Sasaya can still see play in specific land-focused decks that can reliably achieve the seven land card threshold in hand.

Rules

06/01/05

If Sasaya’s Essence’s controller has four Forests and taps one of them for , the Essence will add to that player’s mana pool for a total of .

06/01/05

If Sasaya’s Essence’s controller has two Brushlands and taps one of them for , Sasaya’s Essence adds another to that player’s mana pool. It won’t produce or unless the land was tapped for or instead.

06/01/05

Sasaya’s Essence has a triggered mana ability. Like activated mana abilities, the triggered mana ability doesn’t use the stack.

06/01/05

You don’t need to have seven lands in hand to reveal your hand. You leave your hand revealed until the ability resolves. If you don’t have seven or more land cards in your hand at that time, the effect does nothing.
