Wanderbrine Preacher (1W, 2/2, “Whenever this creature becomes tapped, you gain 2 life”) fits best in a white-based aggressive or tempo deck that can reliably tap it without relying solely on attacking—such as a go-wide white aggro list with convoke cards, Vehicles, or tap-ability synergies—so it can generate incremental life gain while applying pressure. It also has mild synergy in lifegain-matters shells (e.g., cards that trigger on life gain like Ajani’s Pridemate or Voice of the Blessed), but at two mana it competes with significantly stronger options: Luminarch Aspirant provides consistent board growth, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben disrupts opponents, and even Impassioned Orator or Lunarch Veteran provide more reliable lifegain synergy at lower cost.
