About Zodiac Dragon

Zodiac Dragon, Creature — dragon, designed by Qi Baocheng first released in May, 1999 in the set Portal Three Kingdoms and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 821.81.

This card, Zodiac Dragon, would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on recurring powerful creatures from the graveyard, such as a reanimator deck. While its ability to return to your hand when put into the graveyard is useful for maintaining board presence, there are other cards like Griselbrand or Elesh Norn that offer more impactful effects when reanimated, making them potentially better choices depending on the strategy of the deck. However, Zodiac Dragon could still see play in a deck looking for a resilient and recurring threat.

Rules

10/01/09

If Zodiac Dragon is removed from the graveyard after the ability triggers but before it resolves, you can’t return it to your hand. Similarly, if a replacement effect has Zodiac Dragon move to a different zone instead of being put into the graveyard, the ability won’t trigger at all.
