A deck that focuses on a Cleric tribal theme would benefit from including Gangrenous Goliath, as it provides a way to recur a powerful creature from the graveyard. However, there are better options for graveyard recursion in black, such as Reanimate or Animate Dead, which offer more efficient ways to bring creatures back. While Gangrenous Goliath has potential in a specific Cleric tribal deck, it may not see widespread play due to its high mana cost and the availability of more efficient options.
