This card, Near-Death Experience, would be a great fit for a control deck that focuses on staying alive and manipulating life totals. It could work well in a deck that includes lifegain cards and ways to protect your life total. While the win condition is unique and powerful, it may be a bit risky to rely solely on this card to win the game. Other cards like Felidar Sovereign or Test of Endurance might offer more consistent win conditions in a similar deck, but Near-Death Experience could still be a fun and unexpected addition for players looking to try something different.
