About Reckless Cohort
Reckless Cohort, Creature — human warrior ally, designed by Volkan Baǵa first released in May, 2020 in the set Battle for Zendikar. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.49.
A deck focused on Allies in Magic: the Gathering would benefit from including Reckless Cohort, as it provides a consistent attacker and synergizes well with other Ally cards. However, there are better options such as Kazuul Warlord, which offers a more powerful effect with its ability to pump up all your Allies. Whether Reckless Cohort should see play depends on the specific strategy and synergy of the deck, but it can be a solid inclusion in the right build.

If, during its controller’s declare attackers step, that player doesn’t control another Ally but Reckless Cohort is tapped, is affected by a spell or ability that says it can’t attack, or hasn’t been under that player’s control continuously since the turn began (and doesn’t have haste), then it doesn’t attack. If there’s a cost associated with having Reckless Cohort attack, its controller isn’t forced to pay that cost. If they don’t, Reckless Cohort doesn’t have to attack.
