Secure Detention, Enchantment — aura, designed by Diego Gisbert first released in Jun, 2026 in the set Marvel Super Heroes Commander.
**Secure Detention** fits best in a white midrange or control deck that wants flexible removal while maintaining board presence, since it both disables a creature or artifact and leaves behind a 1/1 Soldier for value—making it especially reasonable in token, blink, or enchantment‑synergy (Constellation / Enchantress) shells. However, at four mana it is inefficient compared to stronger white removal like **Banishing Light**, **Ossification**, **Leyline Binding**, or **Fateful Absence**, which are cheaper or more universally effective; even **Arrest**‑style effects see little competitive play today. While the added token gives minor upside and synergy potential, the rate is generally too slow for competitive formats, so it would mostly see play in Limited, casual, or synergy‑focused Commander decks rather than optimized tournament decks.
