About Shredder, Shadow Master

Shredder, Shadow Master, Legendary creature — human ninja, designed by Kirokaze first released in February 2026 in the set Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Eternal and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It see play in 1 format: Commander. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 2.51.

Shredder, Shadow Master is a high-impact finisher best suited for a **multiplayer Commander deck**, especially in **mono-black aggro, ninja/rogue tribal, or extra-combat focused builds**, because its attack trigger scales with the number of opponents and its damage trigger halves life totals, making it devastating in EDH where players start at 40 life. It synergizes particularly well with evasion enablers (like Rogue's Passage or Whispersilk Cloak), extra combat steps (Aggravated Assault), or damage-doubling effects (Wound Reflection, Archfiend of Despair), which can outright eliminate players in one turn cycle. However, at five mana with no built-in evasion or protection, it competes with more immediately threatening or resilient finishers like Archfiend of Despair (which doubles life loss globally), Sheoldred, the Apocalypse (value and life drain over time), or even Master of Cruelties (which can reduce a player to 1 life in a single attack with less setup). While Shredder is explosi

Rules

01/27/2026

Although the token copies created by Shredder's first ability enter attacking, they were never declared as attacking creatures. Abilities that trigger whenever a creature attacks won't trigger when those tokens enter attacking.

01/27/2026

If Shredder leaves the battlefield before his last ability resolves, the tokens will still enter as a copy of Shredder, using Shredder's copiable values from when he was last on the battlefield.

01/27/2026

In the unusual case where Shredder becomes a copy of something else while his last ability is on the stack but before it resolves, the tokens will enter as a copy of whatever Shredder is copying.

01/27/2026

The token copies will have Shredder's abilities.

01/27/2026

The tokens don't copy whether Shredder is tapped or untapped, whether he has any counters on him or Auras attached to him, or any non-copy effects that have changed his types, color, and so on.
