About Slayer's Cleaver
Slayer's Cleaver, Artifact — equipment, designed by Daniel Ljunggren first released in May, 2020 in the set Eldritch Moon. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.50.
This card, Slayer's Cleaver, would benefit an aggressive red deck looking to quickly deal damage to the opponent. The +3/+1 bonus can help push through more damage, especially when combined with other combat tricks or abilities. However, the drawback of being forced to be blocked by an Eldrazi could be a double-edged sword, potentially backfiring if the opponent has a strong Eldrazi creature. While there may be better equipment cards with more versatile or powerful effects, Slayer's Cleaver could still see play in the right deck where the benefits outweigh the risks.
Rules
07/13/16
If each Eldrazi that could block the equipped creature is tapped or is affected by a spell or ability that says it can’t block, then none of them block. If there’s a cost associated with having each of those creatures block, its controller isn’t forced to pay the cost, so they don’t have to block in that case either.
07/13/16
Only one Eldrazi is required to block the equipped creature. Other Eldrazi and non-Eldrazi creatures may also block that creature, and are free to block other creatures or not block at all.
