About So Shiny

So Shiny, Enchantment — aura, designed by Drew Tucker first released in May 2021 in the set Modern Horizons 2 and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.49.

So Shiny would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on creating tokens and controlling the opponent's creatures, as it provides a way to tap down a creature and gain card advantage through scrying. However, there are potentially better options available, such as Claustrophobia, which also taps a creature but doesn't require a token to be in play. Whether So Shiny should see play would depend on the specific strategy and synergy of the deck it is included in.

Rules

06/18/2021

If So Shiny is itself a token, its enters-the-battlefield ability will trigger.

06/18/2021

So Shiny's triggered ability checks whether you control a token after it enters the battlefield to see if it triggers. If you don't, the ability won't trigger at all. The ability will check again as it tries to resolve. If you don't control a token at that time, the ability won't do anything. It doesn't have to be the same token for each check, however.
