About The Big Idea

The Big Idea, Legendary creature — brainiac villain, designed by Bram Sels first released in Dec, 2017 in the set Unstable and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.67.

The Big Idea would fit well in a token-generating or aggro deck that focuses on swarming the opponent with numerous small creatures, particularly in a red-black (Rakdos) strategy that can leverage the ability to create multiple 1/1 Brainiac tokens. Decks that include cards like Anointed Procession or Parallel Lives could further amplify the token generation, making The Big Idea even more potent. While there are strong alternatives like Hordeling Outburst for consistent token generation or Goblin Instigator for a similar effect, The Big Idea's unique die-rolling mechanic adds a fun and unpredictable element that could be advantageous in certain scenarios. Overall, it should see play in casual formats or decks that can capitalize on its synergy, though it may not be as competitive in high-level play compared to more consistent token generators.

Rules

01/19/18

If you use the second ability to roll two dice instead of one, any ability that triggers “whenever you roll a die” will trigger twice.

01/19/18

Some cards, like Chittering Doom, care about the results of individual die rolls and not the total if two dice are rolled together. For example, if you use The Big Idea’s second ability to replace one die roll with two and roll two 3s, Chittering Doom’s ability (which triggers whenever you roll 4 or higher on a die) won’t trigger.
