Through the Forest Gate would be best in a green Commander landfall or “big mana” deck—especially one built around cards such as **Tatyova, Benthic Druid**, **Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait**, **Omnath, Locus of Rage**, or **The Gitrog Monster**—because putting several lands into play at once can trigger landfall repeatedly while the 8 life helps stabilize against aggressive decks; it is much less appealing in 60-card Constructed formats, where eight mana is generally too slow and a deck may not have enough lands left in its library to justify it.
