About Trusted Advisor

This card, Trusted Advisor, would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on card advantage and tempo plays, particularly in a blue-heavy deck that can take advantage of the increased hand size. However, the drawback of returning a blue creature to your hand each upkeep may hinder board presence. A better alternative could be cards like Augur of Bolas or Sea Gate Oracle, which provide card selection without the downside of bouncing creatures. Trusted Advisor could see play in specific deck archetypes that can mitigate its drawback or take advantage of the increased hand size effectively.

If multiple effects modify your hand size, apply them in timestamp order. For example, if you put Null Profusion (an enchantment that says your maximum hand size is two) onto the battlefield and then put Trusted Advisor onto the battlefield, your maximum hand size will be four. However, if those permanents entered the battlefield in the opposite order, your maximum hand size would be two.
