This card would be beneficial in an aggressive red deck looking to apply early pressure on the opponent. Its Haste ability allows it to attack immediately, putting pressure on the opponent's life total. However, there are better options available in the same mana cost range, such as Monastery Swiftspear or Goblin Guide, which provide additional benefits like prowess triggers or card advantage. Valley Dasher could see play in budget decks or as a filler card until better options are available.

If Valley Dasher enters the battlefield before the combat phase, it will attack that turn if able. If it enters the battlefield after combat, it won’t attack that turn and will usually be available to block on the following turn.
