About Wicker Warcrawler
Wicker Warcrawler, Artifact creature — scarecrow, designed by Carl Critchlow first released in May, 2008 in the set Shadowmoor. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.50.
This card could be beneficial in a deck that focuses on sacrificing creatures or utilizing -1/-1 counters for synergy, such as a Golgari or Jund deck in Magic: The Gathering. While Wicker Warcrawler has potential in such a strategy, there are better options like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, which generates value from -1/-1 counters and provides more utility. Ultimately, Wicker Warcrawler may not see much play in competitive decks due to its drawback of losing power and toughness each time it attacks or blocks.
Rules
05/01/08
The -1/-1 counter is put on Wicker Warcrawler at end of combat, after combat damage has already been dealt. (Note that this is different from how Dusk Urchins works.)
