About Wipe Away
Wipe Away, Instant, designed by Jeff Miracola first released in Oct, 2006 in the set Time Spiral and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.24.
A control deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's board state would benefit from including Wipe Away in its strategy, as it provides a versatile and efficient way to deal with problematic permanents. While there may be other cards with similar effects, Wipe Away's split second ability sets it apart by preventing opponents from responding, making it a strong option for decks looking to maintain tempo and control the game. Overall, Wipe Away could see play in the right deck, especially in formats where bouncing permanents is valuable.
Rules
03/19/21
If the resolution of a triggered ability involves casting a spell, that spell can’t be cast if a spell with split second is on the stack.
03/19/21
Players still get priority while a card with split second is on the stack; their options are just limited to mana abilities and certain special actions.
03/19/21
Split second doesn’t stop triggered abilities from triggering, such as that of Chalice of the Void. If one does, its controller puts it on the stack and chooses targets for it, if any. Those abilities will resolve as normal.
06/07/13
Casting a spell with split second won’t affect spells and abilities that are already on the stack.
