About Witch Hunt
Witch Hunt, Enchantment, designed by Karl Kopinski first released in Nov, 2013 in the set Commander 2013 and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 1.41. It's a key card in 1 combos.
This card, Witch Hunt, could be beneficial in a red aggressive deck that aims to quickly deplete the opponent's life total. However, due to its drawback of dealing damage to you and potentially losing control of it, it may not be the most optimal choice. A better alternative could be a card like Sulfuric Vortex, which also prevents life gain but does not have the risk of being passed to an opponent. Overall, while Witch Hunt has its niche uses, it may not see much play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks.
Rules
10/17/13
If an effect sets a player’s life total to a specific number and that number is higher than the player’s current life total, that part of the effect won’t do anything. (If the number is lower than the player’s current life total, the effect will work as normal.)
10/17/13
Spells and abilities that would cause a player to gain life still resolve, but the life-gain part has no effect.
10/17/13
The target is chosen at random as you put the last ability on the stack. Players can respond to this ability knowing who the target is.
