Simic Cloudpost in Legacy
Simic Cloudpost is a big-mana deck built to turn lands into overwhelming threats. Cloudpost produces more mana as additional Locus lands enter play, while Glimmerpost buys time with life gain. Planar Nexus adds to the Locus count, and Crop Rotation, Expedition Map, and Primeval Titan help find the lands the deck needs. Once its mana engine is running, the deck can cast enormous finishers such as Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, or take over with Karn, the Great Creator, The One Ring, and Ugin, Eye of the Storms.
Good points: Its late game is exceptionally powerful, and its land-search tools give it access to useful answers such as Bojuka Bog, Boseiju, Who Endures, and The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale. Karn also provides access to specialized artifacts, including graveyard hate and the potential Mycosynth Lattice lock.
Bad points: The deck can be slow to establish its mana and vulnerable to land disruption, especially Wasteland. Fast combo decks may win before its threats matter, while early creature pressure can force it to find Glimmerpost or a defensive answer quickly. Hands with expensive spells but no reliable way to assemble mana can also be awkward.
