About Bronze Guardian

Bronze Guardian, Artifact creature — golem, designed by Grzegorz Rutkowski first released in Apr, 2021 in the set Commander 2021 and was printed exactly in 4 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of £ 0.42.

A deck focused on artifact synergy, such as an artifact-heavy white deck in Magic: The Gathering, would benefit from including Bronze Guardian due to its ability to protect itself and other artifacts with ward {2} and its power scaling with the number of artifacts controlled. However, there are potentially better cards for this strategy, such as Steel Overseer or Stonecoil Serpent, which offer more consistent value or versatility. Whether Bronze Guardian should see play would depend on the specific deck's strategy and synergy with other cards in the deck.

Rules

04/16/21

If a player casts a spell that targets multiple permanents their opponent controls with ward, each of those ward abilities will trigger. If that player doesn’t pay for all of them, the spell will be countered.

04/16/21

Once a ward ability has triggered, it doesn’t matter if the artifact loses ward (most likely because Bronze Guardian leaves the battlefield in response) before the ability resolves. The controller of the spell or ability will still have to pay or the spell or ability will be countered.
