A deck that focuses on surveilling and graveyard interactions, such as a Dimir control or midrange deck, would benefit from using Candlestick in Magic: the Gathering. While Candlestick offers a unique combination of effects with its surveil ability and card draw, there are stronger cards available in the format like Batterskull or Sword of Fire and Ice that provide more impactful effects for their mana cost, making Candlestick less likely to see play in competitive decks.
