This card would benefit a deck focused on tribal synergies, specifically with the Ally creature type. It provides a way to generate additional creatures and potentially overwhelm the opponent with a swarm of Zombies. While Drana's Chosen is a solid inclusion in an Ally-themed deck, there may be better options depending on the overall strategy of the deck, such as Kazuul Warlord for a more aggressive approach or Halimar Excavator for a mill strategy. Overall, Drana's Chosen could see play in a deck looking to capitalize on Ally synergies and token generation.

To activate a cohort ability, the Ally with that ability must have been under your control continuously since the beginning of your most recent turn. Informally, it can’t have “summoning sickness.” However, the other Ally you tap can be one that just came under your control. (Note that tapping the second Ally doesn’t use [the tap symbol].)
