Scourge of the Undercity would be a great addition to a black-based aggro or midrange deck that focuses on gaining life and maintaining board presence. While it offers a nice lifelink ability and can grant another creature lifelink temporarily, there are potentially better options like Vampire Nighthawk or Gifted Aetherborn that provide more consistent lifelink and additional abilities. However, if the deck is looking for a budget-friendly option or wants to diversify its threats, Scourge of the Undercity could definitely see play in the right build.
