Peek is a useful card for decks that rely on information about their opponent's hand to make strategic decisions, such as control or tempo decks. While Peek can provide valuable insight into the opponent's game plan, more versatile options like Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek offer the added benefit of hand disruption. Peek may see play in certain metagames or as a budget option, but it is generally outclassed by more powerful hand disruption spells.
