Shuttle Ace, Creature — kelpien pilot, designed by first released in Aug, 2026 in the set Star Trek.
Shuttle Ace would mainly benefit casual Commander decks built around lifegain, tapping and untapping creatures, Vehicles, or attack triggers, since it gains 2 life whenever it becomes tapped and can attack as a flyer during your turn; however, at five mana, conditional flying and no stated power/toughness or additional value make it fairly inefficient. Cards such as `Baneslayer Angel` offer much stronger combat abilities, `Serra Angel` provides reliable flying and vigilance for less mana, and `Inspiring Overseer` immediately draws a card while gaining life, so those are generally better choices for competitive or value-focused decks. Shuttle Ace could see play in a flavorful Kelpien, Star Trek, Vehicle, or casual lifegain deck, especially if you can repeatedly tap it, but it likely should not see play in most constructed formats unless its power/toughness or supporting synergies are unusually strong.
