Benthic Explorers, Creature — merfolk scout, designed by Greg Simanson first released in Jun, 1996 in the set Alliances and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 55.11.

This card would benefit a control or tempo deck that aims to disrupt the opponent's mana base while ramping up its own resources. However, there are better options like Seedborn Muse or Kiora's Follower that provide similar effects more efficiently. Benthic Explorers may not see much play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks due to its high cost and limited impact compared to other options available.
