A deck that focuses on ramping up mana quickly and has access to all five colors would benefit from using Genju of the Realm, as it provides a versatile threat that can surprise opponents with its trample ability. However, there are better cards for similar effects, such as Nissa, Who Shakes the World or Omnath, Locus of Creation, which offer more consistent and powerful options for land-based strategies. Genju of the Realm may not see widespread play in competitive decks due to its high mana cost and vulnerability to removal, but it could be a fun and unique inclusion in casual or themed decks.

A noncreature permanent that turns into a creature can attack, and its abilities can be activated, only if its controller has continuously controlled that permanent since the beginning of their most recent turn. It doesn’t matter how long the permanent has been a creature.
