About Goldenhide Ox

Goldenhide Ox, Enchantment creature — ox, designed by Jack Wang first released in May, 2014 in the set Journey into Nyx. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 12.47.

Goldenhide Ox would be a valuable addition to an Enchantment-based deck in Magic: the Gathering, particularly one focused on creating a board presence and forcing opponents into unfavorable blocks. While its ability to force a creature to be blocked can be strategically advantageous, other cards like Archon of Sun's Grace or Eidolon of Blossoms may offer more versatile or powerful effects in an Enchantment deck. However, Goldenhide Ox could still see play in specific strategies that benefit from its unique ability to manipulate combat situations.

An Aura spell without bestow that has an illegal target when it tries to resolve won’t resolve and will be put into its owner’s graveyard. It won’t enter the battlefield and constellation abilities won’t trigger. An Aura spell with bestow won’t be countered this way. It will revert to being an enchantment creature and resolve, entering the battlefield and triggering constellation abilities.

If multiple attacking creatures must be blocked if able, the defending player must assign at least one blocker to each of them if possible. For example, if two such creatures were attacking and there were two potential blockers, they couldn’t both be assigned to block the same attacker.
