About Noggle Robber

Noggle Robber, Creature — noggle rogue, designed by Steve Ellis first released in Jan, 2026 in the set Lorwyn Eclipsed.

Noggle Robber (costing {1}{R/G}{R/G}) fits best in Gruul (red-green) or Rakdos/Jund sacrifice- or treasure-synergy decks that want creatures which generate value when entering and dying, making it useful in Aristocrats-style builds, treasure-matters shells (with cards like Mayhem Devil, Korvold, Fae-Cursed King, or Jolene, the Plunder Queen), or aggressive midrange decks that benefit from ramp and death triggers; however, at three mana it competes with more efficient options such as Dockside Extortionist (which can generate massive treasure bursts), Professional Face-Breaker (repeatable treasure generation with card advantage), Prosperous Innkeeper (cheaper ramp plus life gain), and even Fable of the Mirror-Breaker (which produces treasure and far more value), making Noggle Robber generally underpowered for competitive formats but potentially acceptable in casual Commander or budget treasure/sacrifice decks where redundancy and synergy matter more than raw efficiency.
