The Phyrexian Grimoire could benefit a control or graveyard recursion deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing card advantage by allowing the player to selectively retrieve cards from their graveyard. However, there are more efficient options available, such as Snapcaster Mage or Eternal Witness, which offer more versatility and immediate impact. If there is only one card in your graveyard, it is exiled by the first part of the effect and you do not get to put any cards into your hand since the second part fails.
