This card, Port Town, would benefit a control or midrange deck that runs both Plains and Island cards, as it provides flexibility in mana fixing and can potentially enter untapped if the right conditions are met. However, there are better dual lands available such as Hallowed Fountain, which can enter untapped with the cost of 2 life, making it more efficient for decks that require faster mana fixing. Port Town could see play in budget decks or in decks that specifically require its conditional untapped ability, but in more competitive settings, players may opt for more efficient dual lands.

You may reveal any land card with either or both of the appropriate subtypes. It doesn’t have to be a basic land. For example, you could reveal Canopy Vista from the Battle for Zendikar set to satisfy the ability of Port Town.
