Volley of Boulders, Sorcery, designed by Tony Szczudlo first released in May, 2020 in the set Odyssey and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 78.24.
Volley of Boulders fits well in a red burn or spell-slinger deck that aims to deal direct damage to opponents or their creatures, especially in formats where you can utilize its flashback ability for additional value. While it can be powerful, there are arguably more efficient options like Lightning Helix or Fireball, which offer more versatility or lower mana costs for similar effects. However, if your deck is built around maximizing damage output and you have ways to ramp mana or reduce the cost of spells, Volley of Boulders can still see play as a strong late-game finisher, particularly in casual or multiplayer formats.

To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost (such as a flashback cost) you’re paying, add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions. The converted mana cost of the spell is determined only by its mana cost, no matter what the total cost to cast the spell was.

You can cast a spell using flashback even if it was somehow put into your graveyard without having been cast.

“Flashback [cost]” means “You may cast this card from your graveyard by paying [cost] rather than paying its mana cost” and “If the flashback cost was paid, exile this card instead of putting it anywhere else any time it would leave the stack.”
