A Simic Basilisk would fit well in a +1/+1 counter-themed deck, especially one focusing on creature combat and removal. While it offers a unique ability to destroy creatures upon dealing combat damage, its high mana cost and somewhat situational effect might make it less efficient compared to other options like Vorel of the Hull Clade or Zegana, Utopian Speaker in a similar deck archetype. However, for a more casual or thematic deck, the Simic Basilisk could still see play for its flavorful and fun interactions.
