About Ashling's Prerogative
Ashling's Prerogative, Enchantment, designed by Warren Mahy first released in Oct, 2007 in the set Lorwyn. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of NZ$ 1.39.
Ashling's Prerogative could be beneficial in a red aggressive deck that focuses on playing creatures with odd mana values to give them haste, while slowing down the opponent's even mana value creatures by entering them tapped. However, there are potentially better options such as Mass Hysteria or Urabrask the Hidden which provide a similar effect without the restriction of choosing odd or even, making them more versatile choices that may see more play in competitive decks.
Rules
10/01/07
The “chosen value” is either “odd” or “even.” So either creatures with odd converted mana costs enter the battlefield tapped and creatures with even converted mana costs have haste, or vice versa.
