About Dread
Dread, Creature — elemental incarnation, designed by Matt Cavotta first released in Oct, 2007 in the set Lorwyn. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of NZ$ 11.05. It's a key card in 1 combos.
This card, Dread, would be beneficial in a mono-black control deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's strategies and maintaining board control. While Dread's ability to destroy creatures that deal damage to you is powerful, there are potentially better options like Desecration Demon or Abyssal Persecutor that offer more immediate impact on the board. However, Dread's ability to shuffle back into the library upon being destroyed can provide long-term value in grindy matchups, making it a viable choice in certain control strategies.

If the Incarnation had lost this ability while on the battlefield (due to Lignify, for example) and then was destroyed, the ability would still trigger and it would get shuffled into its owner’s library. However, if the Incarnation lost this ability when it was put into the graveyard (due to Yixlid Jailer, for example), the ability wouldn’t trigger and the Incarnation would remain in the graveyard.

The last ability triggers when the Incarnation is put into its owner’s graveyard from any zone, not just from on the battlefield.
