About Imaginary Pet

Imaginary Pet, Creature — illusion, designed by Heather Hudson first released in Oct, 1998 in the set Urza's Saga and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of NZ$ 0.26.

Imaginary Pet could be beneficial in a deck that focuses on card draw and hand manipulation, such as a control or tempo deck in Magic: The Gathering. However, there are likely better options available, such as creatures with more impactful abilities or lower mana costs, like Delver of Secrets, which can transform into a powerful flyer. Imaginary Pet may struggle to find a place in competitive play due to its relatively weak effect and susceptibility to being bounced back to hand.

Rules

08/01/05

Imaginary Pet’s ability triggers only if you have cards in your hand as your upkeep begins, and the ability checks again as it resolves. If your hand is empty at both those times, Imaginary Pet stays on the battlefield.
