This card, Leyline of Combustion, would be beneficial in a red aggressive or burn deck that aims to deal damage quickly and punish opponents for targeting your creatures or permanents. While it can provide some value in certain matchups, there are generally better options available such as Eidolon of the Great Revel or Sulfuric Vortex which have a more consistent impact on the game. Overall, Leyline of Combustion may not see as much play in competitive decks compared to other options available.

A player’s “opening hand” is the hand of cards the player has after all players have taken mulligans. If players have any cards in hand that allow actions to be taken with them from a player’s opening hand, the starting player takes all such actions first in any order, followed by each other player in turn order. Then the first turn begins.
