A deck focused on ramping up mana and fixing its colors, such as a green-based ramp deck or a landfall deck, would benefit from including Nissa's Pilgrimage. However, there are better alternatives like Cultivate or Kodama's Reach that provide more consistent ramp without the condition of having cards in the graveyard, making them more reliable choices for most decks. Nissa's Pilgrimage could see situational play in decks specifically built around maximizing its spell mastery condition, but in general, other ramp spells are more efficient and versatile options.

Check to see if there are two or more instant and/or sorcery cards in your graveyard as the spell resolves to determine whether the spell mastery ability applies. The spell itself won’t count because it’s still on the stack as you make this check.

If you only find one basic Forest card, you’ll put it onto the battlefield tapped. You won’t be able to put it into your hand, even if you want to.
