About Dread Return

Dread Return, Sorcery, designed by Svetlin Velinov first released in Jun, 2002 in the set Magic Online Promos and was printed exactly in 15 different ways. It see play in 2 formats: Commander and Pauper. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of NZ$ 0.07. It's a key card in 1 combos.

This card would be beneficial in a reanimator deck strategy, where the goal is to quickly bring powerful creatures back from the graveyard to the battlefield. While Dread Return is a solid option for this strategy, other cards like Reanimate or Animate Dead may be more efficient in certain situations. Whether or not Dread Return should see play depends on the specific deck and its overall game plan, but it can definitely be a valuable tool in the right circumstances.

Rules

03/19/21

A spell cast using flashback will always be exiled afterward, whether it resolves, is countered, or leaves the stack in some other way.

03/19/21

Because targets are chosen for spells before costs (such as “Sacrifice three creatures”) are paid, Dread Return cast with flashback can’t target a creature card that will be sacrificed to pay its cost.

03/19/21

If a card with flashback is put into your graveyard during your turn, you can cast it if it’s legal to do so before any other player can take any actions.

03/19/21

You must still follow any timing restrictions and permissions, including those based on the card’s type. For instance, you can cast a sorcery using flashback only when you could normally cast a sorcery.
