About Transcendent Master

Transcendent Master, Creature — human cleric avatar, designed by Steven Belledin first released in Apr, 2010 in the set Rise of the Eldrazi and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of NZ$ 5.49.

The Transcendent Master fits well in a lifegain or control deck, particularly in formats where you can leverage its ability to gain life and become an indestructible threat at higher levels. Its low mana cost and potential for growth make it a solid choice for decks that can provide consistent mana and protection, such as those featuring white's strong lifegain synergies or control elements. While there are stronger cards, like Serra Ascendant or Baneslayer Angel, which also provide significant lifegain and evasive threats, Transcendent Master offers unique scalability and resilience. Overall, it can see play, especially in casual or midrange formats, but may be outclassed in highly competitive environments.

Rules

06/15/10

A creature’s level is based on how many level counters it has on it, not how many times its level up ability has been activated or has resolved. If a leveler gets level counters due to some other effect (such as Clockspinning) or loses level counters for some reason (such as Vampire Hexmage), its level is changed accordingly.

06/15/10

Effects that modify a leveler’s power or toughness, such as the effects of Giant Growth or Glorious Anthem, will apply to it no matter when they started to take effect. The same is true for counters that change the creature’s power or toughness (such as +1/+1 counters) and effects that switch its power and toughness.

06/15/10

The abilities a leveler grants to itself don’t overwrite any other abilities it may have. In particular, they don’t overwrite the creature’s level up ability; it always has that.
