Big Bertha fits best in a mono‑green or green‑based +1/+1 counters deck (such as Simic or Selesnya counters) that can generate lots of mana and exploit scalable threats, since she scales with X, keeps growing with her activated ability, and benefits from counter synergies like Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, or Conclave Mentor; she also works reasonably well in casual Commander builds that care about counters or big creatures. However, in competitive formats she would likely be outclassed by more efficient scalable threats like Primordial Hydra (which doubles its counters each turn), Walking Ballista (which provides removal and combo potential), or even Hangarback Walker (which leaves behind value), making her relatively fair and mana‑intensive by comparison.
