Brightmare could be a valuable addition to a white control or lifegain deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it offers a versatile ability to tap a creature and gain life based on its power. However, there are more powerful cards like Banishing Light or Archangel of Thune that offer stronger control or lifegain effects, making Brightmare less likely to see play in competitive decks but could still be a fun inclusion in casual or themed decks.
