About Cauldron's Gift

A deck that focuses on graveyard recursion and black mana ramp would benefit from Cauldron's Gift, as it provides both card advantage and the potential to bring back a powerful creature with a +1/+1 counter. While there may be more efficient cards for graveyard recursion or creature reanimation, Cauldron's Gift could still see play in a deck that aims to take advantage of its Adamant ability and graveyard synergies.

If an effect allows you to cast a spell without paying its mana cost, you can’t choose to cast it and pay unless another rule or effect allows you to cast that spell for a cost. Similarly, you can’t waive a cost reduction unless that effect says you may.
