About Ceti Eel
Ceti Eel, Creature — worm, designed by Monztre first released in Aug, 2026 in the set Star Trek Commander.
Ceti Eel would mainly benefit a black graveyard, self-mill, or sacrifice deck that already plays many artifact and creature cards, especially one that can fill the graveyard before casting it so its enter-the-battlefield trigger creates a large threat; however, milling only two cards makes its growth inconsistent, and spending four mana on a creature that provides no removal, card advantage, or immediate protection is generally too slow for Constructed play. In most formats, cards such as `Stitcher's Supplier` or `Satyr Wayfinder` are better for efficiently filling the graveyard, while `Graveyard Trespasser`, `Sheoldred, the Apocalypse`, or a dedicated reanimation payoff is usually a stronger four-mana threat. Ceti Eel could be playable in Limited or a casual graveyard-focused deck if it reliably becomes a large creature, but it should not see serious Constructed play unless the surrounding deck can exploit its artifact-and-creature graveyard condition unusually well.
